Monitrice services are a form of collaborative care that includes the clinical care of a midwife and the labor support of a doula. I offer amplified support in pregnancy, in-home clinical assessments and recommendations as well as information to help to guide you through pregnancy and birth. This may include listening to baby’s heart rate, checking your vitals, and assessing cervical dilation while laboring at home. I will accompany you to the hospital for the birth of your baby. Once at the hospital, I will continue to provide physical, emotional, and informational support and advocacy to help you achieve a satisfying birth.
